Comment : The place looks decent. The food looks lovely. But the taste was just terrible. I only give credit for their attempt to make everything look nice. Highly recommend NOT going.  

Orange juice

- not freshly squeezed, just concentrated. cheap. 

鵝肝沙律

- looks beautiful. but tastes horrible. 

- it's quite amazing, I really don't understand how they can make it taste so bad. 

Lobster Bisque

- horrible

- it was so watery, so poorly done 

Steak with tiger prawn

- bad quality steak. 

Seafood pasta

- the seafood didn't taste fresh. it was SOO "fishy" I couldn't stand it

Lemon water

- I don't think this can possibly go wrong.

- but it's a bit cheap how they just gave 2 extremely thin slices of lemon

Fried ice cream

- the batter was so thick and filling. 

- i suppose the vegetable below it is not for eating?

Cheesecake

- bad. 

- texture was bad. base wasn't good either

康年餐廳 Hong Lin Restaurant

Comment : The egg tarts and "pineapple" bun was amazing, but the porkchop with instant noodles was way too salty. it was basically just really salty with no other taste to it. Would probably go again, but more for the tarts and buns, maybe a different kind of afternoon tea set i guess.

- SOOO salty !!

- almost no other taste, other than being extremely salty

Comment : Pass. Would I go again? Probably not.

- nothing particularly special, just a typical bowl of ramen

- wouldn't consider it to be good.

- a bit too powdery texture

- flavour was ok, but texture could be better.

Comment : I only ate the fish burger, pretty good I guess. Nothing special to me though, maybe cause I'm not too fond of burgers.

Comment : pretty good. typical thing I'd order.

半島酒店大堂茶座 The Lobby

Comment : Overall pretty good tea set. The macarons were amazing ! Best in HK so far i've eaten. Would definitely consider going again. Hoping to see if they sell macarons individually.

- pretty good

- the scones were pretty well made. not as filling and not as dry as most.  

- the plain cucumber sandwich kind of annoyed me though, just seemed so plain.

Hot Chocolate

- pretty good, but not worth the price.

太平館餐廳 Tai Ping Koon Restaurant

Comment : Been to this place before. I like the swiss wings, though not something I would get addicted too. I think people are more attracted to its history for creating the "swiss sauce". To be honest, the sauce didn't taste as good as everyone says it is. It's not bad, but nothing too special to me (in terms of its taste). I guess I would recommend this to locals/foreigners who are interested in going to restaurants with more of a history behind it. 





Bread
- not fresh. the edge was a bit hard
 


Seafood bisque soup (海龍皇湯)
- was okay. bits of seafood meat inside. 
 


Mixed vegetables
- nothing special. a bit bland.
 


Fried beef with noodles (干炒牛河)
- used to be pretty good, but this time there's slightly too much sauce
- a bit weird. looking at it seems like the flavour would be really strong and probably a bit too salty, but for some reason there wasn't much flavour to it. i actually thought the flavour of the sauce wasn't strong enough. 
- quite oily too actually. though a bit expected.

Swiss chicken wings (瑞士雞翼)
- the star of the night. what the restaurant is most famous for.
- YUM !!
